This two day workshop invites participants to learn basic bushcraft skills like tool use, fire building, shelter construction and hydration in the backcountry but goes beyond that to open the door for participants into how to hear and use bird language, how to began breaking down the "wall of green" to build relationship with the landscape and understand terrain using specific habitat zones, and to engage in intro to wildlife track and sign. Learn to read the stories written on the land and experience deep nature connection in a new way whether you hike, hunt or simply seek peace in the outdoors. Camping is provided but not required. Siesta is built in to each day so participants can get a break and enjoy community and nature. Evenings are reserved for relaxed pace learning of specific technical skills sets around fire, navigation and bushcraft. Registration is through Texas Women’s Outdoors.
