Want to camp but not sure how to get started?

Our course is a gentle introduction to camping covering all the bases from hazards, gear management, and hygine to what to do if things go wrong. We will teach you the skills you need to camp with confidence and be capable, anxiety free and prepared on your next adventure.

Topics include risk management, site selection, gear selection and troubleshooting, common problems and injuries in camp and how to manage them, fire skills, tool use and basic campfire cooking.

Come and enjoy a knowledge packed weekend as part of a supportive community of women working to build skill together.

This weekend oververnight course runs from 9:30 am Saturday to noon on Sunday. Participants should come prepared for the weather conditions. All classess are taught outdoors in an open-air, covered classroom or on the land. Close toed shoes, sun screen and bug spray are suggested. Students will need their own camp chair, lunch, breakfast and water bottle. Saturday dinner will be provided and Bathrooms and water are availible on site.
